Bio

Paddy Jackson is a former Ireland international who currently plays as a fly half for London Irish. He previously played more than 120 times for Ulster and represented Perpignan for one season.

Paddy Jackson excelled at rugby from a young age and signed for the Ulster academy while he was still young. In February 2011, he made a surprising debut for the side against Scarlets. This was the start of a long and illustrious Ulster career. In total, between 2011 and 2018, he made more than 120 appearances for the Irish province and scored almost 900 points. During this time, he finished as a runner-up in the PRO12 (now the United Rugby Championship) and the Heineken Champions Cup.

During his time with Ulster, Paddy Jackson was also capped 25 times by Ireland. As a former Ireland U20 captain, big things were expected of the star fly half. However, his career came to a halt when he was charged with rape in 2017. Although he was acquitted in 2018, the publication of derogatory text messages sent by the player meant that his Ireland and Ulster contracts were revoked by the IRFU.

As a result of his Ireland career coming to a close, Paddy Jackson left the country and signed for Perpignan in France. Although he signed a two-year contract with the club, he left after only one season as the side suffered relegation.

Following his Perpignan exit, Paddy Jackson signed for London Irish, where he has remained ever since. In 2021, he took on a leadership role at the club, acting as support for captain Matt Rogerson.

Still young and with plenty to offer on the pitch, we can't wait to see what else Paddy Jackson can achieve in the game.
