Bio
Posolo Tuilagi is an up and coming rugby union star who has played lock for Top 14 club Perpignan since 2022. He has also made his first appearance for the French national team in 2024.
Born in Samoa on 28 July 2004, Tuilagi relocated to England after his father, international and Perpignan player Henry Tuilagi, signed for Leicester Tigers. At three years old, he moved once again, this time to France when his father joined Perpignan. Growing up in France, Posolo Tuilagi started playing rugby at age six after joining French Catalonia’s leading club in 2010.
After playing for Perpignan’s youth teams, he began his professional career in 2022, debuting for the Blood and Golds in an unfortunate home loss against La Rochelle.
Tuilagi’s talents were recognised and after just a few appearances for the under-18 France national team, he played his first match with France U20 in the Six Nations Under 20s Championship in 2023.
Later that year, he was named as part of the France U20 team for the World Rugby U20 Championship. In a match against New Zealand, he scored two impressive tries for the side. Tuilagi made his way to the France senior squad ahead of the 2024 Six Nations and made his debut in the team’s fixture against Ireland.
Posolo Tuilagi is a rising star in rugby union. His natural strength along with his illustrious tactical ability has given him an impressive start to his rugby career and we expect to see plenty more from the young lock.
