Bio

Ryan Lamb is a former fly half who represented Gloucester, London Irish, Northampton Saints and Worcester Warriors. He's currently a backs and attack coach for Hartpury University.

Born 18 May 1986, Ryan Lamb began his professional career with Gloucester in 2004. Between then and 2009, he made 85 appearances for the side and scored an impressive 569 points. In his debut season with the side, he also captured the European Rugby Challenge Cup.

Although Gloucester were a formidable side with Ryan Lamb at fly half, Gloucester coach Dean Ryan lost faith in him in 2009, believing that he didn't sufficiently control key matches. As a result, he left the club and signed for London Irish.

Following this, Ryan Lamb enjoyed a somewhat nomadic career. Following 49 appearances for London Irish between 2009 and 2011, he represented Northampton Saints (2011-13), Leicester Tigers (2013-14), Worcester Warriors (2014-17), La Rochelle (2017-19) and Scarlets (2019). After his stint with Scarlets ended, he called time on his career. By this time, he'd made almost 300 professional appearances and had amassed almost 1,700 points.

Although he was highly skilled at the domestic level, Ryan Lamb was never capped by England on the international stage. That said, he did represent England at the IRB U21 World Championship in 2006 and played for the England Saxons from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, he helped the Saxons capture the Churchill Cup.

Following his retirement from the game, Ryan Lamb returned to Gloucester and became the backs and attack coach for Hartpury University in the RFU Championship.
