The message Sinckler has given to rare England starter Will Stuart

Bio

While his interesting hair style catches the eye, Will Stuart's abilities on the pitch are what really makes him one of England's stand out players. With his impressive stature and defensive and attacking abilities as a prop, he's a popular player for both club and country.

Born in Westminster in July 1996, Will Stuart started playing rugby as a youth with Andover RFC and Salisbury RFC, before joining up with the Wasps academy in 2014 after finishing his education. Before making his senior debut, he played for National League 1 and RFU Championship sides including Blackheath, Birmingham Moseley and Nottingham.

In January 2019, Will Stuart signed for Bath Rugby, having made over 30 senior appearances for Wasps. It was at the Somerset club where his career truly began to flourish with more regular appearances for the side, his scrummaging work in particular being a notable strength when he plays. To date he's played over 30 games for Bath and remains a regular feature on the team sheet.

At international level, Will Stuart initially played for England in 2016 at U20 level. However, he was first called up for the England senior side in 2020 for the Six Nations of that year. He then made his debut against France during the championships, coming on as a replacement for Kyle Sinckler, before then going on to help England win the tournament in the final round against Italy.

Will Stuart's first start for England came later that same year in the Autumn Internationals against Georgia. So far he has now earned 15 caps and this is only expected to increase as he's now often called up and is a regular frontrunner to start for England.

Outside of rugby union Will Stuart has a unique family history. His great grandfather was a war hero and also a famous actor. His grandfather also lived in Uganda and as a youth used to play rugby with infamous dictator Idi Amin before he began his regime.
