Ever since the side played their first test match in 1903, they've been truly dominant. The very next year, the team embarked on a 34-game tour of Europe and North America. During this time, they only suffered one defeat.
In the modern era of rugby, the New Zealand Rugby team have been an unstoppable force. In fact, the majority of test-playing nations have never won a game against the All Blacks. In addition, the team have won The Rugby Championship trophy 16 times and they've completed Grand Slam tours of the Home Nations (England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales) four times.
In the Rugby World Cup, the New Zealand Rugby team have been truly dominant. Not only have they won the competition three times but they've also finished runners-up once and third on three occasions. In fact, since the World Rugby Rankings were introduced in 2003, New Zealand have held the top spot for longer than all other nations combined.
As you may expect for such an outstanding team, the New Zealand Rugby team have historically been full of top international stars. Since 2001, an All Blacks player has won the World Rugby Player of the Year award 10 times and many former All Blacks have been inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame, including Jonah Lomu and Richie McCaw.
